Marc Meurin Michelin starred chef since 1992

For several years, the Diet Expert Group has been considered as one of the leaders in the online diet field in France with a position at the top of the range. We are keen to maintain this excellence in terms of quality of support and effectiveness but also in terms of taste.

Who is Marc Meurin?

Marc Meurin is a French chef, born in 1953 in Lens.

He obtained his CAP in cooking at the hotel school of Lille in 1970. Self-taught, his determination and passion allowed him to climb the ladder and to receive a Michelin star in 1992 with his gourmet restaurant "Le Meurin" located in Le Chateau de Beaulieu in Busnes (62). He has also opened several other restaurants including Lens at the Louvre.

Recognised as one of the best French chefs by the most prestigious restaurant guide (see link below), he has based his success on gastronomic creativity and an openness to new culinary trends.

Collaboration with Diet Expert

The chef was involved in two of our major product lines.

"Booster Range" preparations

  • We wanted to strengthen our brand providing a real taste sensation for our customers by reworking our high protein Booster range.
  • The first challenge was to retain all the nutritional quality of our products that are destined primarily for effectiveness in terms of weight loss.
  • Marc Meurin was involved on this intangible basis to provide his opinion, his advice and his personal touch in order to enhance the taste of our products; several round trips were often required to achieve a result approved by the chef.

The new dishes prepared for the "Gourmet range"

  • The Diet Expert group launched a new type of programme at the beginning of 2014 called "Gourmet Programme". The main aim of the Gourmet programme is of course weight loss (although less than the Booster programme) but is more directed towards the pleasure of eating food as ready prepared, ready-to-eat dishes (2 minutes in the microwave wave).
  • We presented Marc Meurin with thirty recipes of classic prepared dishes all of which have been reworked extensively. We noted the importance of the involvement of the chef, the journey taken and the taste gap we have put between us and our competitors through this lengthyï¾ work. In the end, from a nutritional and culinary point of view, only 21 meals called "Chef Dishes" have proved worthy to be included in our range.

* The weight loss achieved varies from one individual to another and hence can not be guaranteed, it also relies on careful monitoring of the programme and stabilisation phase.
